Top quark and UPC jet probes of nuclear matter with ATLAS / Potepa, Patrycja Anna (AGH University of Krakow (PL)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Top quarks produced in heavy-ion collisions are expected to be attractive candidates for probing the quark-gluon plasma, developing new information about the time structure strongly interacting matter, and probing nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs). This talk presents the observation of top-quark production in lead–lead (Pb+Pb) collisions at 5.02 TeV with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. [...]

Probing Parton Energy Loss with Dijets and Jet Azimuthal Anisotropies in Light-Ion Collisions with ATLAS / Kavak, Rafet (Univ. Illinois at Urbana Champaign (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Light-ion collisions at the LHC provide access to parton energy loss in compact systems with a controlled initial geometry and a direct pp baseline at the same energy. In 2025, ATLAS recorded $8~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$ of O+O and $1~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$ of Ne+Ne collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.36~\mathrm{TeV}$, matching a previously collected $400~\mathrm{pb}^{-1}$ pp reference sample. Two- and four-particle correlations in 5.36 TeV O+O and Ne+Ne collisions with ATLAS / Liu, Zhaotong (University of Science and Technology of China (CN)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The collective flow, quantified via the azimuthal anisotropy coefficients $v_n$, provides valuable insight into the intricate initial-state geometry of light nuclei collisions. In this talk, measurements of collective flow in oxygen--oxygen (O+O), and neon--neon (Ne+Ne) collisions are reported, utilizing data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. [...]

Direct Searches from New Physics at the LHC / Vivarelli, Iacopo (Universita e INFN, Bologna (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk will review the status of direct searches for physics beyond the Standard Model at the LHC, from the mature Run 2 programme to the emerging Run 3 landscape and the prospects of the HL-LHC era. After a broad overview of established search programmes—including supersymmetry, dark matter, heavy resonances —the discussion will focus on what is genuinely new in Run 3: not simply increased centre-of-mass energy and integrated luminosity, but also improved detector performance, upgraded trigger capabilities, and new strategies. [...]

Searches for Dark Matter with the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC / Ricci, Bernardo (Universita degli Studi di Udine (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The presence of a non-baryonic Dark Matter (DM) component in the Universe is inferred from the observation of its gravitational interaction. If Dark Matter interacts weakly with the Standard Model (SM) it could be produced at the LHC. [...]

Dijet probes for event-geometry biases in p+Pb collisions at ATLAS / Jirasek, Radek (Charles University (CZ)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Proton–nucleus collisions at the LHC provide a powerful laboratory to investigate initial-state phenomena in heavy-ion physics. Fluctuations in the proton configuration can significantly modify its effective interaction strength, biasing estimates of event activity and, consequently, the inferred number of wounded nucleons in the Pb nucleus. [...]

Searching for axinos and displaced vertices with the ATLAS detector / Rosser, Benjamin John (University of Chicago (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Collider searches for long-lived particles (LLPs) that travel an observable distance inside a detector before decaying have become increasingly common in the past decade. Many theories of Beyond the Standard Model physics predict such particles with a variety of potential lifetimes, and searches for these particles have required the introduction of new, innovative experimental techniques. Measurements of J/$\psi$ and impact of coincident photon induced processes in ultra-peripheral Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.36$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / Rybczynski, Pawel (AGH University of Krakow (PL)) /ATLAS Collaboration
In ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions, the Lorentz-contracted electromagnetic fields of the ions generate intense quasi-real photon fluxes. These can interact with photons emitted by the oncoming nucleus, or with the nucleus itself, either directly in inelastic processes or diffractively via pomeron exchange. [...]
