Search for heavy neutral leptons in B-meson decays
A search for long-lived heavy neutral leptons produced in B-meson decays and decaying to a $\mu^\pm \pi^\mp$ final state is performed with data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $5\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The twist-2 heavy-quark and antiquark distributions, as defined in the variable flavor number scheme, turn out to be different due to QCD corrections from three-loop onward. [...]

Measurement of differential $t$-channel production cross-sections of single top quarks and top antiquarks at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / Kretschmann, Lukas (Wuppertal U.)
The differential production cross-sections of single top quarks and top antiquarks produced via the $t$-channel process are measured in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV at the LHC with the full Run 2 ATLAS dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $140$ fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Constraints on light QCD and CP-violating axions from the death line of rotation-powered pulsars / Witte, Samuel J. (U. Oxford (main) ; DESY ; U. Hamburg (main)) ; Caputo, Andrea (CERN ; U. Rome La Sapienza (main) ; Weizmann Inst.) ; Stelzl, Stefan (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne ; Barcelona, IFAE) ; Chernoglazov, Alexander (Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Philippov, Alexander A. (Maryland U.) ; Rajendran, Surjeet (Johns Hopkins U.)
For axions that couple to nucleons, the presence of dense nuclear matter can displace the axion from its vacuum minimum, sourcing large field gradients around neutron stars (and, more generally, compact objects). [...]

Mechanical Design and Integration of the CMS Phase-2 Tracker / Rose, Pierre (CERN) /CMS Collaboration
The mechanical design of the CMS Phase-2 Tracker addresses the stringent requirements imposed by the High Luminosity LHC environment, including stability under high radiation and thermal loads, a minimal material budget, and precise alignment across large detector volumes. This article describes the engineering challenges and the mechanical solutions implemented in both the Inner Tracker and the Outer Tracker. [...]
