The Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC), a proposed next-generation Higgs factory, provides new opportunities to explore physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). With its clean electron-positron collision environment and the ability to collect large samples of Higgs, W, and Z bosons, the CEPC enables precision measurements and searches for new physics. [...]

Entanglement Swapping with Misty States
/ Yeh, Lia (Unlisted, GB) ; Ganey, Mary (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Gudapati, Prabhav (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Jia, Ginger (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Jung, SeungHwan (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Melke, Yisakor (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Swain, Sudha (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Naylor, Christina (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Parr, Ethan (Indiana U., Bloomington (main)) ; Pezzoni, Amy (Unlisted, US, CA) et al.
The misty states formalism introduced by Terry Rudolph in 2017 is an alternative pedagogical approach that acts as a bridge to the standard quantum computation curriculum. We have shown elsewhere how it works, by using it to prove and demonstrate: phase kickback, Bernstein-Vazirani, Deutsch-Josza, the Grover quantum search, superdense coding, teleportation and the GHZ game. Measurement of the differential distributions of B0s→D∗−sμ+νμBs0→Ds∗−μ+νμ decay with the LHCb detector
/ Manganella, Federico (Frascati ; U. Rome 2, Tor Vergata (main) ; INFN, Rome2) ; De Simone, Patrizia (Frascati) ; Rotondo, Marcello (Frascati)
/LHCb Collaboration
This analysis aims to conduct a comprehensive study of the decay kinematics of the semileptonic decay $B_s^0 \to D_s^{*-} \mu^+ \nu_{\mu}$, with $D_s^{*-} \to D_s^- \gamma$ and $D_s^- \to K^+ K^- \pi^-$, using data collected by the LHCb experiment in Run 2.A first measurement of the form factors describing the $B_s^0$ meson semileptonic decay is provided, performing a four-dimensional binned fit in the space given by the variables describing the decay kinematics, namely $q^2$, $\cos\theta_{\ell}$, $\cos\theta_d$ and $\chi$. Taking into account the detector acceptance, as well as the reconstruction efficiencies and the resolution effects, the full differential distribution is obtained; then, a fit to this distribution is performed using different parameterizations for the $B_s^0 \rightarrow D_s^*$ transition form factors. Recent results on Dark Sector Searches at NA62
/ Panichi, Ilaria (U. Florence (main) ; INFN, Florence)
/NA62 Collaboration
Rare kaon decays are among the most sensitive probes of both heavy and light New Physics (NP) beyond the Standard Model (SM) thanks to the high precision of the SM predictions, to the availability of very large datasets and to the relatively simple decay topologies. The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS is a multi-purpose high-intensity kaon decay experiment, that carries out a broad rare-decay and hidden-sector physics program and has collected a large sample of $K^+$ decays during Run1 (2016-2017-2018) and the ongoing Run2 (started in 2021). An Efficient Algorithm for Extending Uniform Superposition States for Time-Series Data
/ Rieger, Carla (CERN ; Tech. U., Munich (main)) ; Grossi, Michele (CERN) ; Guerreschi, Gian Giacomo (Intel, Santa Clara) ; Vallecorsa, Sofia (CERN) ; Werner, Martin (Tech. U., Munich (main))
Leveraging fundamental quantum features such as quantum superposition is one of the key elements for the theoretical speed-up obtained in quantum algorithms, e.g., with Grover's search algorithm. In this work, we explore the novel concept of dynamic state preparation, which allows for extending an initially prepared superposition state already containing a set of data elements. [...]

Dark sector searches at ATLAS and CMS
/ Seidita, Roberto (ETH, Zurich (main))
/ATLAS Collaboration ; CMS Collaboration
In the quest for expanding our understanding of Nature, one of the main open issues is the existence of dark matter i.e., the observation that most of the gravitational mass acting in the universe appears insensitive to any of the other known interactions. Collider experiments provides a powerful complement to direct and indirect searches for dark matter, both thorough searches based on simplified models aimed at exploring wide ranges of phase space, as well as more targeted searches for signatures that would elude the first strategy.
