Probes of flavor symmetry and violation with top quarks in ATLAS and CMS / Strautnieks, Normunds Ralfs (LATVIA-UNIV) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Measurements of lepton flavor universality (LFU) and searches for charged lepton flavor violation (cLFV) are one of the most straightforward ways of searching for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics. The numerous production of top quark pairs at the LHC allows for high precision measurements of LFU ratios and searches for cLFV signatures. [...]

Multi-Scale Transformer Encoder for Di-Tau Invariant Mass Reconstruction at CMS / Camagni, Valentina (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) /CMS Collaboration
A transformer-based encoder is proposed for the offline reconstruction of tau-lepton decays, with the goal of improving the estimation of the di-tau invariant mass. The model performs a regression of the transverse momentum of each tau candidate to recover the contribution carried away by neutrinos in the decay, while keeping $\eta$ and $\phi$ fixed in accordance with the collinear approximation valid in the targeted phase space. Searching solo for the invisible at CMS / Mallampalli, Abhishikth (Wisconsin U., Madison) /CMS Collaboration
Despite the success of the Standard Model (SM), several fundamental questions remain unanswered, such as the nature of dark matter (DM), motivating searches for new physics. This paper summarizes three recent searches for new physics in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$~TeV, using data recorded with the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Performance of triple-GEM detectors for the ME0 system of the CMS Phase-2 Upgrade / Nenna, Felice (INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) ; Pellecchia, Antonello (INFN, Bari ; Bari U.) ; Verwilligen, Piet Omer J (INFN, Bari) /CMS Collaboration
The High-Luminosity LHC will deliver proton-proton collisions at 5-7.5 times the nominal LHC luminosity, with 140-200 pp-interactions per bunch crossing. To maintain the performance of muon triggering and reconstruction under high-rate background, the forward part of the CMS muon spectrometer will be upgraded with Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors. Mechanical Design and Integration of the CMS Phase-2 Tracker / Rose, Pierre (CERN) /CMS Collaboration
The mechanical design of the CMS Phase-2 Tracker addresses the stringent requirements imposed by the High Luminosity LHC environment, including stability under high radiation and thermal loads, a minimal material budget, and precise alignment across large detector volumes. This article describes the engineering challenges and the mechanical solutions implemented in both the Inner Tracker and the Outer Tracker. [...]
